To connect to MindForge, you need an IRC client, a well known one is mIRC or use the WebChat included on our web site.

Basic IRC commands

Connect to an IRC server :

/server server:port
(example: /server irc.mindforge.org:6667)

Quit IRC with a message :

/quit message
(example: /quit GoodBye.)

Join a channel :

/join #channel
(example: /join #MindForge-Chat)

Part a channel :

/part #channel message
(example: /part #Mindforge-Chat Bye)

Request a list of all channels :

/list

Invite someone to a channel:

/invite Nick #Channel
(example: /invite MyFriend #MindForge-Chat)

Describe an action :

/me action
(example: /me slaps Nick with a large trout)

Notice someone without being seen by others :

/notice Nick message
(example: /notice Nick how are you ?)

Set your away status :

/away reason
(example: /away mowing the lawn)
