Here's a List of Problems and their solution you might encounter if someone abused his rights in your channel and locked you out: | Problem: | I am banned in my own Channel | | Solution: | Type the following command: /cs unban #yourchannel This will make ChanServ uban your from your channel, you should be able to rejoin it now. | | Problem: | I used /cs unban but when i rejoined, i get banned again instantly | | Solution: | someone probably set an Akick for your nick or mask. Type the following command: /cs akick #yourchannel list This will show you the Akick list of your channel which will look similar to this: [14:37:47] -ChanServ- Autokick list for #yourchannel: [14:37:47] -ChanServ- 1 Giuly[away] (No reason) [14:37:47] -ChanServ- 2 !*@*somehost.com (some reason here) if you See any of the entrys match to you, you can remove it with the following command: /cs akick #yourchannel del number where number would be the number of the corresponding entry from the list above. If you are not sure which Entry matches you, remove all entries with: /cs akick #yourchannel clear | | Problem: | I can't enter my channel becaus mode l,k,i is set (channel is full/needs key/is invite only) | | Solution: | if channel is "invite only(+i)" or "needs key (+k)", type this command: /cs invite #yourchannel ChanServ will invite you your channel and you should be able to join it now. if the mode is still there after this command, or "channel is full (+l)": /cs set #yourchannel mlock +nt (Note: You need founder access for this command) This will force the channel modes +nt (which are not "dangerous") and make ChanServ remove all other set modes instantly. you should be able to rejoin your channel now. | | Problem: | Someone who should not have access suddenly has Founder/SOp/Op status in my channel. | Solution: | Probably he was able to guess your channel password or the nick password of one of your (S)Ops or he talked someone unexperienced into issueing a command that would add him on the access list or group his nick with yours and therfore get your access rights. You should check the following things: - Type: /cs access #yourchannel list and check the access list for nicknames that should not be there. use /cs access #yourchannel del nick to remove any unknwon nickname you find.
- Type: /ns glist to see your grouped nicknames. In case you find a grouped nick you don't know, contact and IRC Operator to help you remove it if someone is using it at the moment, or use /nick unknownnickname to change to this nick, and then /ns drop to drop the nick.
Your SOps and Ops should do the same. - Change your Channel Password:
/cs set #channel password newpassword Replace newpassword with your desired new password Do the same for your nickname: /ns set password newpassword | | Problem: | I tried all of the above Tips, but still i'm still locked out or can't remove a bad user. | Solution: | Join #MindForge and ask and IRCOp for help. Please explain the situation in detail and tell us what you have already tried. Also please try to have some logs ready to show/proof what happened and who did it. | Your MindForge Team
