Murphy's Law

Well... most of you may have noticed that this weekend wasn't the best for MindForge ; Murphy's Law has hit us with our pants down. But let's start at the beginning :

On the night of Friday to Saturday, a mis-configured Security-module glined all Users on MindForge. As no Opers could connect anymore to disable it, we had to reboot all servers.
Well ... Shit happens.

In that process, the HardDisk of one of our Hubs crashed while the box was restarting. As this Box also hosted our DNS-Management routines, we have been updating our Domains irc.mindforge.org and irc.mindforge.info with an emergency replacement all weekend, which was not as comfortable as our normal one and may have caused some of you to receive a "server is full" error when trying to connect.
As i write this, Monk and twelve managed to set up the DNS-routine on another server, so everything should run smoothly again.

Not much left to say, except that all registered Nicks, Channels, Settings and other Services/Protections are fine, so once we have that Hub back and running, everything will be back to normal for MindForge and its Users.
You see ... we are just humans, we make mistakes and have bad luck. But hey ... we'll get over it and keep this nice place called MindForge running.

Update
(05/07/06 00:30) Our hub has a new Hardrive and is online again, so we are back strong and stable.

Greets, MindForge Team.
