Vhost Policy First, "V-Host" applies to the notion of "Virtual Host" ... everything that appears after the @ in a user's logon mask. V-Hosts for the MindForge staff: Depending on the status of the staff member, following V-Hosts apply: - NetAdmin.MindForge.org
- ServicesAdmin.MindForge.org
- Country.ServerAdmin.MindForge.org
The "Country" part in the ServerAdmin V-Host will match the main language of the team member. Country is a 3 letter abbreviation and all caps. Precludes EU, World ... etc. V-Hosts for registered Channels : - V-Hosts must be requested by the Channel Owner.
- V-Hosts are assigned on a bi-weekly user count average: 5 V-Hosts for 30+ users, 7 V-Hosts for 60+ users.
- Procedure: The Channel Owner should prepare a list of names that are willing to accept a channel V-Host.
- The list of names are to be presented to the V-Host Team in the #MindForge-Vhosts channel.
- Minimum level for V-Host is 4 (HalfOp).
- Format: ChannelName.MindForge.org
- Exceptions need to be agreed upon by MindForge Administrators.
- User numbers must be maintained for the channel to keep V-Hosts. Those channels that do not maintain user numbers will lose their V-Host.
- Channels found using proxies and/or BNC to increase the channel average will see their V-Host refused/removed.
- Channels where identified network troublemakers are on the acces list will lose their V-Host.
- MindForge Staff reserve the right to periodically scan channels for conformity to minimum requirements.
V-Hosts for eMule Channels : - All eMule channels get V-Hosts regardless of their user count.
- Procedure: The senior Op (by level) should prepare a list of names that are willing to accept an eMule V-Host.
- The list of names are to be presented to the V-Host Team in the #MindForge-Vhosts channel.
- Minimum level for V-Host is 3 (Voice).
- Format: eMule-Language.MindForge.org
Requested V-Hosts will be set within a reasonable time delay. The MindForge Team
