MindForge Network Rules

Network Rule 1

No warez, xdcc, ftp or commercial channels or activities are allowed (and therefore No bottlers or xdcc bots); hacking activities and antisocial behavior will not be tolerated.

Network Rule 2

Adding bots to BotServ is subject to application. Contact a team member in #MindForge. Accumulating bots (bot-nets) for any other purpose than general channel management is forbidden. See FAQ for more details on V-hosts.

Network Rule 3

No racism, no nationalism, no nazism, no sexism, no pedophilia, no hard core pornography or anything inciting or suggesting hate, discrimination or abuse.

Network Rule 4

Linking of servers only on a need basis to accommodate a growing (or shrinking) network. No business interests will be mixed to those of the network. Linking with other networks is to be discussed and voted on by all NA/SA/IrcOps.

Network Rule 5

Ircops are screened and evaluated by NA/SA/IrcOp team before being given status and full access to OperServ after one month trial period.

Network Rule 6

V-hosts are attributed to established channels with more than 30 regular Users. Application for V-hosts can be made in #MindForge-Vhosts. Any form of faking user counts with clones or cross joining will lead to deletion of the V-hosts. Network troublemakers identified by the MindForge Team will NOT be given V-Hosts, and if they have one already, they will lose it. These things are monitored!

Network Rule 7

Regular meetings for network management issues involve the Network Admin and Services Admin Team, with participation of Server Admins and/or specified Users when necessary, to enable information and suggestions for improved network functionality to flow from the bottom up.

Network Rule 8

If you bring your open-source or freeware project to MindForge, you will be allowed to define the channel names necessary to run your project on our network as long as they are not required for official network purposes or conflict with channels already claimed by other projects on the network.
